Our 2nd Anniversary at Gordon Ramsay's London West Hollywood

Two years ago today, Carleton and I got married. I will hold the happy memories from that special day.

These were the pictures we took on our wedding anniversary celebration.

It is our second wedding anniversary on this Thursday.- two whole years since I married my best friend and enjoyed the most wonderful day of my life. I know that might sound cliched and cheesy, but for me it is completely true. Since the day we met, he has been the most amazing person the the world. It has been the happiest years of my entire life. It is impossible for me to share all the happy memories I hold from every moment we have had together. Because of Carleton's work, we had to celebrate our anniversary earlier this year. This Monday Carleton drove me more than 100 miles to Gordon Ramsay's restaurant at The London West Hollywood to celebrate our special day. We both are fans of Chef Gordon Ramsay, and we are also big time foodies. Therefore, this special anniversary gift became extremely special for both of us. The restaurant just off Sunset at The London West Hollywood, his eponymous restaurant is rather heavenly. This hillside dining room, divided in two, along with four private dining rooms, boasts views of the city from the large windows dressed with gold blinds. The designer lavished attention on every detail, creating an elegant and modern atmosphere in gray, gold and white tones. The marble tabletops complement the floor and are surrounded by chairs, armchairs and banquettes in different shapes and textures, which adds movement to the rooms. Ramsay and his team have found the right way to please the palates of customers with upscale cuisine and a fine dining experience. The food and wines offerings were some of the best we've had in a long time;We had thought about ordering seven courses chef tasting menu before we arrived restaurant, but we were still pretty stuffed from lunch. Therefore, we ordered Wine and Dine 4 courses menu with a glass of wine selected by our Sommelier instead.
For the 1st course Carleton had - Chilled almond soup, sautéed spot prawns, glazed almonds and balsamic reduction, and I had - Foie gras and smoked mushroom chawanmushi with marinated hon shimeji mushroom.
For the 2nd course he had - Seared Hudson Valley foie gras with caramelized apple and goat cheese canelloni, and I had - Pan fried sardines with eggplant caviar, tomato and olive dressing.
For the 3rd course, he had - Slow braised pork belly, crispy pig's head, pickled red onions and pea puree, and I had - Pacific black cod with hon shimeji mushrooms, braised leeks and sudachi lime broth.
For the dessert course, he had- Chocolate cream savarin with malted milk emulsion and salted caramel ice cream, and I had my favorite - Apple tartin with vanilla bean ice cream and caramel.
The restaurant is sexy and beautiful. Each course served in good pace. The most amazing at the first was how Sommeliers came to our table and show the wines they paired for us. That was very special for us, especially they chose the right ones accompanied with our dishes very well. Between each courses they cleaned our used stencils and marked with proper stencils for next courses. Everything they did reached fine dinning standers. That is why no wonder that have three Michelin Star for the restaurant. Carleton and I had the best food we have ever had. We both look forward having good fortune so that we can go back to eat at Gordon's restaurant again. However, that gave us more reasons to improve our cooking. We could not explain how happy and joyful we were that night. Thank you very much again, Carleton. I look forward having many.....anniversaries with you. Thank you for being such a wonderful husband to me.
